No, as long as you don’t eat the whole packet! Brown rice is better than eating white rice, and if you fancy it, you should eat it, but just measure it out, or make sure you just don’t eat the whole thing! With regards to the fat ‘of which saturates’ this is the one you need to be looking at rather than the ‘Fat’ content. The fat of which saturates is what will ’stick to you’ as such! 0.2g is good! If your supposed to have around 20g a day that’s not doing so bad! Good luck – p.s I always think you should have what you want in moderation. If you fancy brown rice tonight, maybe tomorrow, make sure you have salad instead of carbs? Just a suggestion! Keep it up xx

In this Induction-friendly recipe video, I demonstrate one of the most versatile side dishes or main dishes on the Low Carb lifestyle. From Chinese main meal or accompaniment to an Italian replacement for pasta, this faux rice recipe is versatile to say the least. Note: for the Italian alternative, I would eliminate the Chinese flavorings (Soy Sauce, meat, sesame oil, and egg) in favor of more garlic and Italian seasoning and spices. For Induction, you are limited to 1 cup of Cauliflower per day.

Here is the ingredients:
2 TBS Cooking oil
4 slices Bacon
1 Medium Size head of Cauliflower (~2 pounds), grated
2 cloves garlic, minced
4 oz of Ham
1/3 cup soy sauce
1 tsp sesame oil
1 egg, beaten
4 green onions, chopped
Black Pepper to taste
* Heat the oil and bacon in large skillet until bacon is slightly browned.
* Grate Cauliflower in Food Processor
* Add Cauliflower, Ham, and Garlic and cook until the cauliflower begins to stick (internal water is evaporated) and getting browned
* Add Soy Sauce and Sesame Oil, heat for 1-2 minutes
* Drag Cauliflower to half of the pan
* Cook beaten egg until scrambled, and mix with Cauliflower mixture.
* Add Green Onion, and Pepper to taste
* Cook 4-5 more minutes

I’m starting a high fibre , low fat diet tomorrow but have never had brown rice or pasta.
I’m pretty handy in the kitchen and like pretty much any foods so I feel like a bit of a drongo having no idea about such matters.
Can I make rissoto as normal with brown rice?
How different does in taste and does it need a sauce with it?
Is cold pasta salad with wholemeal pays ok?
Any tips or simple recipe please ?

Brown rice and whole wheat pasta take longer to cook then white rice and reg. pasta. Brown rice can be flavored with apple juice if you are having pork – I think it makes it a nice addition to a pork meal.
I like brown rice better than whole wheat pasta. I am not sure about using whole wheat pasta in a cold salad. I find it more chewy than the other pasta. Also different brands taste differently.
Uncle Bens brown rice isn’t too bad – I do not think that brown rice risotto would work – but haven’t tried it.
